The National Park Service turns 100 years old in 2016! To celebrate they are offering 16 days of FREE admission in 2016.
National Parks will always be a family destination and an America way of getting outdoors and enjoying nature. The beautiful U.S.A. has about 405 national parks spread from north to south and east to west.
Only 124 of these national parks charge an entrance fee. For those who do charge an entrance free, the U.S. National Park Service is providing free entrance on select 2016
Get out your paper or digital calendar for these entrance free dates for America’s national parks in 2016:
– January 18 : Martin Luther King Jr. Day
– April 16-24: National Park Week
– August 25-28:National Park Service Birthday
– September 24:National Public Lands Day
– November 11:Veterans Day
Visit a U.S. National Park on entrance free days and other days.
Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
