The Great Explorations ChildrenÛªs Museum in St. Petersburg is a 24,000 square foot museum geared towards the 10 and under crowd.
Kids are encouraged to play, create, explore, and learn through hands-on exhibits and role-playing activities. The 16 different exhibits allow kids to interact and use their imagination while learning about health, science, animals, math, and art.
Some exhibits are tailored for the younger child exploring their environment. A play pizza kitchen, grocery store, firehouse, vet, and broadcasting booth allow kids of all ages to experience learning through play. The theater offers shows featuring music and dance, as well as teaching about science.
