Some of our favorite things to do during the holiday season is to go see the holiday lights with the family. There are so many locations across the Tampa Bay area that offers a great way to experience the Holiday Lights in 2017.

1. Symphony In Lights at the Shops at Wiregrass

The Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Dr. Wesley Chapel, FL 33543

Enjoy a lively array of dancing lights, dazzling décor, and snow too! Symphony in Lights is an amazing holiday light show, choreographed to music featuring the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! Free entertainment for the entire family! A holiday celebration you won’t want to miss.

2. Chick-fil-A Waters Ave. Holiday Lights & Performances   

6299 W Waters Ave, Tampa, FL

Chick-fil-A has a beautiful light display that they turn on every year for the Holiday Season. Stop in for a treat and enjoy the majestic lights, community performances and visit with Santa.

Dates: Nov, 15 to Dec. 30, 2017. Holiday performances and Santa visits occur on select dates.

3.Hyde Park Village Holiday Stroll

1602 W Snow Ave, Tampa, FL 33606

Take a family-friendly stroll through the shops at Hyde Park Village. Beautiful light displays and visits with Santa on select nights. Come visit Santa during the times listed on the calendar.

Cost: Free

Dates: Lights are on at dark, Santa in the Village on select nights from Nov. 19- Dec. 24, 2017.




4. Tampa Bay’s Wonderland of Lights

Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, 215 Sydney Washer Road, Dover, FL 33527

The Wonderland of Lights is a Drive -Thru holiday light show that will surely amaze the young and the “young at heart”. Families will be able to park their cars at the end of the drive-thru experience and enjoy fun activities, pony rides, visit with Santa and many more holiday activities.

Dates: November 24 – December 30, 2017

Open Sunday – Thursday, 6-9 pm to Friday & Saturday 6 to 10 pm

Cost: $20-$75 per vehicle, plus cost for activities inside the park.



5. Lowry Park Zoo Holiday Lights

1101 W Sligh Ave, Tampa, FL 33604

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is transforming into a world of winter wonder for their brand new Christmas in the Wild event! For 18 delightful nights, enjoy a merry and memorable evening with this unique, but traditional holiday event in the special setting of the Zoo at night. From the sights of stunning lights, the seasonal smells of holiday treats, the excitement of festive entertainment and the magic of wildlife at night, Christmas in the Wild will offer guests of all ages a uniquely immersive holiday experience.

Dates: Nov. 24-25, December 1-2, 8-10, 15-17, 21-23 and 26-30, 2017

Lights and activities start at 4 p.m. and the Zoo closes at 10 p.m.

Cost:Included with paid Zoo admission or Zoo membership.



6. Christmas Lane in Plant City

303 N Lemon St, Plant City, FL 33563, Charlie Grimes Building at the Florida Strawberry Festival.

They will have many light displays, food, carnival rides, a Kidzone that will include letters to Santa, face painting, and ornaments, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos every night except Christmas Eve. There will also have Living Nativities each Thursday and Saturday night during which area churches will present a 30 minute living Nativity with live music, live animals, an outdoor set and an angel!

Live local entertainment every night and a children’s performer all but two nights of the event. Check out our Facebook page for updates.

Dates: November 24 – December 24, 2017 from 6-10pm from Thursday-Sunday

Cost: Tickets are $5 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 12 to 4, and free for those 3 and under.

Rides are a separate ticket. Rides are $2 each or $10 for an unlimited rides armband. Each rider must have a ride ticket or armband (including parents)


7.Largo Holiday Lights

101 Central Park Dr,Largo, FL 33771

Gather at Largo Central Park for a stroll through the beautiful lights and entertainment. Enjoy a variety of crafts and activities throughout the month for all ages. You won’t want to miss the official Christmas tree lighting on Saturday, December 2nd at 7pm! Concession available each night.

Dates: Nightly, Dec. 2, 2017- January 1, 2018



8. St. Petersburg Waterfront Lights and Display

Stroll along the pedestrian walkway of St. Petersburg‰s waterfront and see thousands of holiday lights and decorations in North and South Straub Parks. Don’t miss the Giant Greeting Card display along Bayshore Dr. at Vinoy Park made by local teens at St. Petersburgs Recreation Centers.

Dates: Nightly from Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 – January 1, 2018

9. The Oakdale Christmas House Light Display

2719 Oakdale St. S, St. Petersburg, FL 33705

The 2017 Oakdale Christmas Light Displays is among the best in the U.S. and Tampa Bay. Holiday Light Display features over half a million lights, including, a 70-foot-tall Christmas tree, more than 700 animated or moving objects, manger scene with more than 150 pieces and fun interactive displays.

The Oakdale Christmas light display has been featured HGTV and by the “Today Show” and has appeared on HGTV.

Dates: Friday, November 24, 2017 until January 3rd, 2018 6:00 -10:00 p.m.

10. Christmas Trail Holiday Lights in Plant City

2837 South Frontage Road, Plant City, FL 33556

Christmas Trail is a lighted walking trail ‘Tales of Christmas’ with over 1/4 milk walking trail of lights. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live entertainment on select nights, a 25ft tall Christmas Tree, face painting, nightly snowfall, Christmas characters and much more. There will also be a Jack Frost Ice Palace and Ice Show with Live Snow!

Dates: Dec: 8-10,15-17, 21-23, 2017 and from 6-10pm

*Christmas Trail will not be open on Dec. 20th even though it is listed on their website. They have updated this info on Facebook.

Cost: Free, However you must register on their website for free tickets in order to attend.


11.25th Annual Winter Wonderland in Clearwater

NE Corner of Ft. Harrison Ave. & Drew St, Downtown Clearwater, Florida

Winter Wonderland is a complete Christmas village with lights, an entertainment stage, photos with Santa, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, a hot chocolate shop, a petting zoo, pony rides, playground, a Bouncy House, a Giant Slide and the Holiday Express Train!

Dates: Friday, December 2 to Sunday, December 22, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday

Cost: Free, Small charge for some rides and refreshments.



12.Holiday Lights at The Botanical Gardens

12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL

Take a nice stroll through the Florida Botanical Gardens to see the beautiful holiday lights. There will be nightly free entertainment and visits from Santa Claus.The event is the largest fundraiser for the gardens and depends on volunteers, sponsors, and donations to reduce the cost of offering this holiday tradition in Pinellas County.

Dates: November 24 – December 31, 2017 from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Cost: Suggested donation $4 (13 years and older)



13. Christmas Town at Busch Gardens

10165 McKinley Dr, Tampa, FL 33612

Unwrap a beautiful family tradition at Christmas Town, where Busch Gardens Tampa Bay transforms into a holiday wonderland of entertainment and attractions, holiday shopping, festive treats and more than two million twinkling lights.

Dates: Nov. 20-25,  Dec. 1-2, 8-10, 15-17, 22-31. 28- Dec. 31, 2017. Park closing times will range from 10 pm to 1 am on select days. See exact hours for each day here.

Cost: Included in admission or Annual pass/Fun card



14. Lights of Lake Park

Lake Park Estates, 102nd Ave & 109 Ave N, Seminole, FL 33777

The neighborhoods of Lake Park Estates, Wieker, Lakeside Estates, and Lake Seminole Village, generously decorate their homes and yards with over 3.0 miles of Christmas Lights and Decorations for the public to enjoy. Donations are accepted at the Suncoast Hospice Cart located along the route 100% of money donated goes to support their community activities.

Dates: Dec.1-31, 2017, daily from 6-9 p.m.
