Food Pantry Day at HorsePower for Kids

Food Pantry Day at HorsePower for Kids is a great affordable way for families to enjoy time at this petting farm in Tampa.

Food Pantry Day occurs every Thursday and it offers FREE admission when you bring a can of food. Food will be donated to local community shelters.  One free admission per canned good.

General Admission to their farm is $7 per person (children and adults), except on special event days. Children 12 months & under are free. Pony rides are $3.

Hours:

Thursday & Friday 10 am to 2pm.
Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5 pm.

Tampa‰’s Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa‰’s Lowry Park Zoo is a must see attraction. If you’re visiting or you’re a resident of Tampa Bay, this is a great family outing that caters to younger and older children. There are numerous animals to see as you stroll around the zoo and exciting rides too.

Story Time with Donkeys at Book Swap

Listen to Farmer Tom  as he reads from his children’s book at Book Swap of Carrollwood. He will be accompanied by two miniature donkeys which are the focus of his short story, Donkeys Are Special and So Are you.  Picture time will be available with Farmer Tom and the donkeys in between reading sessions.

Free Smithsonian Animal Exhibit at Lowry Park Zoo

The  Animal Connections: Our Journey Together exhibit provides an  interactive learning environment on board an 18-wheel truck.

The exhibit  introduces visitors about the complex relationship between humans and animals.
