It’s Pumpkin Patch season! Pumpkins in all shapes and sizes can be found at farms, fall festivals, corn mazes, grocery stores, and even at churches in the Tampa area. We are luck to have so many pumpkin patches to choose from. Many of these pumpkin patches have been in operation for decades!

Now a days, pumpkin patches offer more than just pumpkins. You’ll find games, animals, hayrides, picture perfect spots, corn bins and some even allow your little furry friends to come along.

1.  Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch

Hyde Park kicks off their Pumpkin Patch on Sept. 29th. Bring your family to the Pumpkin Patch at Hyde Park Village where you’ll find pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, as well as festive photo opportunities.


2. Sweet Fields Farm Corn Maze, Crops and Pumpkin Patch

4-H Carnival Open House to the Public

Come learn about Pinellas County 4-H and how it can help your youth and family. Come play some fun carnival games, enjoy the petting zoo, and bid on silent auction items. All proceeds go to support 4-H in the community. The event is free to attend, tickets for the games and food can be purchased onsite.

This event will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heritage Village in Largo, FL.

Tickets to carnival games will be sold to benefit Pinellas County 4-H

Visit Heritage Village and 4-H all in one FREE event!

They will be in the back by the windmill and water tower. Parking can be found at the Botanical Gardens or the Heritage Village lots.

Heritage Village:

Take a step back in time and enjoy the beautiful homes and structures as you walk through the museum at Heritage Village! The buildings and other features make up the Village’s largest “artifacts” and are part of the museum’s “collection.”

The museum is free to visit and is open everyday except for county holidays.

Within the grounds of Heritage Village you will also find the Pinellas County Historical Museum.  The Museum’s exhibits traces the history of Pinellas County through temporary, changing exhibits as well as exhibits.

The Museum also has a 3, 500-volume library and archives containing historic photographs, maps and other materials relating to the history of Pinellas County.

Pinellas Park Firefighter’s Free Movie Event

Fun for the whole family! Pinellas Park Firefighters’ host a free movie event throughout the year for their Benevolent Fund by selling the best hot dogs and hamburgers around. Candy, popcorn, nachos and drinks are also for sale. The Benevolent Fund is used to help victims and families in our community throughout the holidays.

Florida Botanical Gardens Holiday Lights

The Florida Botanical Gardens comes alive with their annual Holiday Lights in the Gardens every evening. Tons of beautiful lights, nightly entertainment and visits from Santa Claus.

The Holiday Lights event will take place from November 27-December 31st from 5:30-9:30 p.m. every evening.

Suggested donation:
$4 (13 years and older) 

12 and younger: Free

This event is the largest fundraiser for the gardens and depends on volunteers, sponsors and donations to reduce the cost of offering this holiday tradition in Pinellas County.

Pinellas Pioneer Settlement Free Saturdays

Your family will love stepping back in time at The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement.

The Pioneer Settlement offers free admission and parking on the first Saturdays of the month. Bring a picnic lunch and explore the settlement from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

While at the Pioneer Settlement, take a family tour of the historic living museum, sawmill, sugar cane shed, print shop, the old gas station and more.

Pinellas Park 42nd Annual Christmas Parade

The Pinellas Park 42nd Annual Christmas Parade takes place on Saturday, December 13th at 6 p.m. The parade will feature more than 100 individual entries with an expected attendance of 10,000 to 15,000 spectators.

Make a new tradition with your family as you enjoy Pinellas Park in Christmas style. The parade route is completely closed no later than 4:00PM, but to be safe, you’re  invite to bring out your lawn chairs and blankets starting at 4:30 p.m.

The parade starts at 6:00 p.m. on 58th Street (railroad tracks) and proceeds eastbound on Park Boulevard to The Shoppes at Park Place.

The 41st Annual parade last year was the fastest on record. The last parade entry left the staging area in 2 hours and 3 minutes! So prepare your family to get comfortable as you view the many floats, cars, and more.
