Tampa’s residents and visitors will love their visit to Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa. Get into the holiday spirit by doing those fun winter activities without having to shovel snow off of your drive way.
As you’re crossing off the many fun-filled Holiday and Christmas themed activities to enjoy, make sure to stop by Tampa’s Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park starting in November of every year and it runs until just after the New Years celebration. With Winter Village close proximity to downtown’s riverfront, museums, and restaurants it’s a great way to spend some family time this holiday season.
The Winter Village features an outdoor Ice Rink…yes, that’s correct. The outdoor ice rink is built on-site and takes several weeks to build. The rink is under a massive tent structure to help keep the ice cool in Tampa’s hot weather. Whether you are a first-timer on skates, or an experienced ice skater, the Winter Village Ice Rink is great for all experience levels and ages. When you purchase tickets at the ice rink entrance, it includes 90 minutes of skating and ice skate rental.
Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa will be filled with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the holiday season. You will find holiday themed food and treats, live musical performances, carolers, tree lighting ceremony, parade, photos with Santa, crafts, games and many more family activities.
While you’re at Winter Village you might as well do some holiday shopping. There is a wide range of shops that will accommodate the youngest to the most mature person on your shopping list.
