The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens will celebrate its 28th annual Fall Plant Festival on Oct. 13-14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Satuday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Admission for the event and the gardens is $5 for the general public. USF Botanical Gardens members and children under 12 are admitted free. Free parking will be available.
There will be vendors on site selling and displaying plants and plant related items filling the Botanical Gardens grounds. The vendors at this event include most local plant clubs and societies, as well as commercial growers. Some of the plant clubs and societies that will be selling at the event and offering information include crotons, African violets, orchids, bromeliads, begonias, cactus and succulents, fruit trees, bamboo, bougainvillea, native plants, palms and cycads, and more. The festival features the annual scarecrow display throughout the Gardens.
