The Family Fishing Festival will return to Withlacoochee River Park on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9am to 1pm. This event is made possible by the Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Fish Florida. The event is absolutely FREE to the community and boasts valuable education and recreational value to citizens.
This fun-filled event is designed to introduce families to the vast outdoors, the sport of fishing and the importance of being stewards of Florida’s freshwater ecosystems. Hands on activities will include fishing in the pristine waters of the Withlacoochee River, fishing learning stations, carnival games, and numerous vendors. Additionally, there will be a free rod/reel for the first 300 children ages 3 – 15 years old, gift raffles, a nutritional lunch, face painting, crafts and many other attractions – all at no cost to the community.
