For families in the Tampa Bay area, the Microsoft Store host free workshops to help children use their imagination to customize their own coding projects and explore new technologies. The parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult caregiver of every workshop participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.

This free, 2-hour DigiGirlz workshop is an engaging interactive way for young women ages 8-18 to understand more about how computer science and coding will open opportunities for them. They will learn about woman who work in space; and find out that a successful career in Space Aeronautics and technology is within their reach. They will also get a hands-on introduction to coding, creating their own project.Don’t miss this opportunity to meet new role models, get inspired by the pros, and get a hands-on introduction to the world of coding.
Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit workshop ages 8+ This free one-hour workshop introduces students eight and above to the foundational concepts of coding. Participants will follow simple steps with drag-and-drop code blocks and create Harry Potter spell motions, magical creatures, and artefacts, all with the coding wand and a Surface device.
