Preschool Class at MOSI: Curious Kids

An event every month that begins at 10:15 am on day Second of the month, repeating until May 10, 2023

It’s never too early to engage your curious preschoolers in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).Feel free to join your young scientist as they make predictions, test for results, and share their findings.

•   Parents may accompany child in the workshop, or take a break and enjoy MOSI

•   Program is in the Museum Building from 10:15am – 11:45am

•   Monthly themes connected to literature with hands-on

•   Pre-registration and payment are required at least two weeks in advance

•   Program fee: $15 per program or $128 for the full year*

•   MOSI Member: $9 per program or $74 for the full year*

*Discount only available if you register for the entire series at once.

SEPTEMBER 14TH: DIGGIN’ WITH DINOS

Stomp, flap and swing like a dinosaur. Bring home your own fossil and create dinosaur footprints.

OCTOBER 12TH: SUN, MOON, AND STARS

Look at the night sky. Make pictures of the sky. Can you take a bite out of the moon? Take a short trip to the MOSI Saunders Planetarium.

Measuring, mixing, weighing, and pouring will never be more exciting! Investigate colorful liquids and bubbling solutions.

Grab a shovel and search for earth’s precious rocks. Compare rocks and learn about the layers of the earth.

Which building materials can survive a hurricane? Create and build structures to see which are the strongest.
