Sensory-Friendly Saturday at Tampa Bay History Center

February 2, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free – $14.95

Experience the History Center with minimized disturbances and optional sensory experiences for families with special needs.

Presented in partnership with USF’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Sensory-Friendly Saturday is a multi-sensory approach to learning about the past, History Center docents will have touch carts and learning stations where visitors, if they choose to, can see, touch and smell as they explore the museum’s three floors of exhibits.

The galleries will open an hour early, at 9 a.m. so families with sensory processing disorders can visit at their own pace. Special signage and quiet area will also be provided.
