10 a.m. Opening Ceremonies and Featured Teller Pat Nease
Past president of the Florida Storytelling Association, Pat is a four-time winner of Florida’s Liars Contests. Despite her enlarged funny bone, she manages to travel around the country entertaining listeners with her unique style, ready wit, original and personal stories and adaptations of old favorites. A retired educator, she believes storytelling is the most powerful tool in a teacher’s toolbox.
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Other Festival happenings include youth storytellers, state and local adult tellers, strolling characters and performers, a Storybook Character Parade, story arts and crafts, a Scholastic Book Fair, and MORE!
