With Flag activities for the kids\, Food available by donation\, silent gift basket auction June 14th is Flag Day! \n \nWhat is Flag Day? \nFlag Day commemorates June 14\, 1777\, when the Continental Congress determined the composition of the nation’s banner: “Resolved\, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes\, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars\, white in a blue field\, representing a new constellation.” \nThere will be prizes for: \nBest Patriotic Dressed Best Flag inspired dessert and appetizer \nCome and join the Democratic Clubs\, Caucuses and Districts of Pinellas County with Flag inspired activities for your kids to do and learn about our Nations symbol of patriotism. \nThe Veterans Caucus will do a Flag Retirement Ceremony. So if you have an old Flag that you need to retire\, please bring it.
