The Red Apple School, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides meaningful daytime activities to Adults with Disabilities. We have been in business since 1996 and currently serve 140 students at our two locations. The following are some examples of  the diagnosis and needs of the people we serve: Intellectual disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, as well as people who ambulate via wheelchair and who have behavior challenges.  Our staff of 40+ have all been trained to meet the needs of the students.
Here at The Red Apple, we like to learn and we like to have fun. The following are some examples of the activities we do:
-Educational Activities such as reading, writing, math, science, history, computer skills
-Community Outings – volunteer in the community, library, shopping at local stores, parks, museums and various places of interest
-Money Tendering and Mail Correspondence
-Arts and Crafts
-Communication skills/Sign Language Skills
-We are required by the State to teach you about your rights, health, safety, abuse and supported employment
-Life Skills – cooking class which includes: planning, shopping and prep work for simple meals, cleaning, laundry skills,
-Self Care such as: manners, appropriate social interaction, self esteem building, self advocacy, grooming and hygiene
