DESCRIPTION:Help the City of Tampa and KTBB to plant 3\,500 seedling trees at K-Bar Ranch!\n\n\nK-Bar Ranch Community Tree Planting\nThursday\, July 9\, 2026 | New Tampa \nJoin Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful\, the City of Tampa Parks & Recreation Department\, and the City of Tampa Green Team as we plant 3\,500 native seedling trees at K-Bar Ranch. This large-scale planting effort will help improve wildlife habitat\, water quality\, and Tampa’s urban forest for years to come. \nVolunteer Information\n\nVolunteer check-in begins at 7:30 AM\nCity and KTBB staff will begin setup at 7:00 AM\nNo planting experience is necessary\nVolunteers will work in teams of 3 alongside City staff\, Green Team members\, or KTBB staff\nSeedlings will be planted using a simple planting tool called a dibble\nAll tools\, trees\, and supplies will be provided\n\nWe Need Your Help\nThis is an ambitious one-day planting project that requires at least 75 volunteers to be successful (please only register if you can for sure make it out to the planting). The more volunteers we have\, the faster we can complete the planting! \nWhat to Wear & Bring\n\nClosed-toe shoes are required\nWear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty\nBring a reusable water bottle\nWear a hat and sun protection\nBe prepared for hot weather and insects\n\nSafety & Amenities\n\nWater\, snacks\, sunscreen\, and bug spray will be available\nShade tents will be set up for cooling off and breaks\nVolunteers are encouraged to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed\nPortable restrooms will be available onsite\n\nImportant Note\nThe planting site is located in a remote area of New Tampa with limited facilities.
