Everyday is a great day to celebrate and honor and serve our Veterans. The 2018 Veterans Day parades, events, free meals, deals and more can be found all across the Tampa Bay area.

As Veterans Day approaches we will continually update this list as restaurants and companies announce their Veteran’s Day specials.

Veterans Day 2018 will be on Sunday, November 11th, 2018 and designated as a Federal Holiday on Monday, November 12th, 2018.

Veterans Day PARADES


1. Veterans Day Parade at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital

The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and Clinics is honoring Veterans with their 11th annual ceremony, parade and cookout near the hospital.The parade route will take it down Richard Silver Way, before ending with food and fun at the Spinal Cord Injury Center basketball court. All are welcome.


2. Ruskin Veterans Parade with VFW 6287 Post

Come honor and celebrate our Veterans with VFW 6287 Post in Ruskin, FL on Saturday, November 11, 2018 at 11 am. There will be tons to see at the parade, including high schools, civic organizations, churches, businesses and more who will help parade through the street. 3. Veterans Day Parade in Town-n-Country

The Town N Country Community will once again host the state’s largest Veterans Day Parade. The parade will be on Saturday, November 10th at 10 a.m. and will feature bands, scouts, and many more organizations. To see the parade map, please visit veteransparade.org

Come salute our veterans! A patriotic Veterans Day Parade will be held downtown Zephyrhills, along 5th Ave on Saturday, Nov. 10th from 9:00am- 12 p.m. The parade features participants including grand marshals, senior military officials, active duty and retired military units, veterans groups, local high school marching bands, military organizations, decorative floats, JROTC units and more.

Veteran’s Day Remembrance Ceremony will start on Sunday November 11, 2018 at 11:11 AM. at Zephyr Park. The ceremony will be a salute to Veterans, that honors and pays tribute to our nation’s Veterans, active duty service members, military families and patriotic supporters.

5. Lakeland Veterans Day Parade 

The Polk County Veterans Council will be conducting its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Lakeland’s Veterans Memorial Park at 10 a.m., on Saturday, November 10, 2018.  A parade will follow the ceremony.

The Veterans Council has selected as this year’s theme a tribute to James Henry Mills, Fort Meade native and the only Polk County soldier to ever receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.  Following the ceremony, the annual parade will step off traveling from the RP Funding Center west lot along Lemon St and ending at Munn Park.  Memorial Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. in Veterans Park, located at 150 Lake Beulah Dr, Lakeland, FL 33815 (behind the RP Funding Center).


6. Veterans Day Parade in Brooksville

The City of Brooksville invites you to the Veteran’s Day Parade in Downtown Brooksville.  The parade will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10th.

1. Veterans Day Event at Westfield Brandon

In honor of our local veterans, active, and retired military, Westfield will be hosting free, family fun patriotic events in the Restaurant Courtyard select Saturdays in November from 1pm – 3pm. Visit on Saturday, Nov. 10th.

2. The 2nd Annual Freedom Fest Veterans Day Celebration

This event returns to Sims Park the weekend of November 9, 10 and 11th. The event begins on Friday evening with the Freedom Fighters Feast, a dinner under the stars in Sims Park for Veterans and their guests.

Saturday, November 10 continues at the park with a full day of crafters, vendors, kid-friendly inflatables, festival food, craft beer, and live music. The schedule of live music includes local talent including Blues Legend, Nitro. Also appearing is national recording artist Keni Thomas, and renowed AC/DC tribute band, Stiff Upper Lip. 3pm to 3:30 / 3:45 “Category 5 “- Bishop McCaughlin Catholic High School



3. City of Safety Harbor Veterans Day Event

The City of Safety Harbor, American Legion Post 238, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10093 will present a salute to all of those brave men and women who have served and are currently serving our country.

Join them on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. to Noon. All are invited to attend.

1. 2018 Free Entrance Days at U.S. National Parks

November 11, 2018

The National Parks Service offers several free entrance days to National Parks throughout the year. On Veterans Day, everyone can enjoy free admission to nearly all of the national parks throughout the U.S.



2. Florida Aquarium

Nov. 11-12, 2018

All active duty military, retired, prior service of the Armed Forces (includes Guards and Reserve), can receive one general admission ticket* on Nov. 11 and 12. Additional guests (up to 4 people) can get 25% off general admission. Only redeemable at the Aquarium ticket window.

*Must present Military ID DD-1172, Retired ID DD-2, or copy of DD-214 w/photo ID or state issued ID/driver’s license with the veteran designation to The Florida Aquarium ticket window on 11/11/18 and 11/12/18.




4. Veterans Day at The Dali Museum

This year, The Dali celebrates Veterans Day Sunday November 11 & Monday November 12 to honor our country’s courageous service members.

Sunday, November 11: Complimentary admission all day for veterans and active duty military members with ID, plus one guest each.

As a special thank you, former and active duty members of the military can join us for a free meal on Veterans’ Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018.


2. Chipotle 

Stop by any participating U.S. Chipotle location on Sunday, 11/11 and show your military ID. We’ll set you up with a BUY-ONE/GET-ONE FREE burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos, as a small, (foil-wrapped) token of thanks for your service.

Valid in-stores only, for veterans, active military, and military families with ID.


3. Dennys

In observance of Veterans Day, participating Denny’s locations nationwide will offer service members a complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam® on Monday, Nov. 12. This diner staple includes a choice of four delicious breakfast items such as two fluffy buttermilk pancakes, two eggs or egg whites cooked to order, two sizzling bacon or turkey bacon strips, buttermilk biscuits or hash browns. The offer is valid for dine-in only from 5 a.m. to noon with a valid military ID or DD 214.


All active duty and retired Veterans are invited to come in and enjoy Free Red, White, & Blue Pancakes on Monday, November 12th. Military ID or proof of service is required.

To thank Veterans, active duty military and reservists, Red Lobster will offer a free appetizer or dessert from their select Veterans Day menu. Show a valid military ID on November 11-12th, to receive offer.


6. Red Robin

Red Robin has a free Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day for active duty and retired service members. Proof of service is required.


7. Texas Roadhouse

On Sunday, November 11th, Texas Roadhouse is offering a free special Veterans Day lunch menu including a beverage and sides.
