Lutz goes all out for Independence Day with a jam-packed morning starting with a 5K, a 1-mile fun run, a flag ceremony, parade, and a post-parade celebration featuring the Lutz Guv’na Inauguration and a Cake Auction Fundraiser. This year’s theme — “Lutz Salutes 250 Years! Let Freedom Ring! 1776–2026” — makes it an extra special celebration.

Date and Time: Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 6:45 AM (Parade at 10:00 AM)

Location: 101 W Lutz Lake Fern Rd, Lutz, FL 33548 (Bleachers and Announcer in front of Lutz Library; Parade starts at corner of Crooked Lane and Lutz Lake Fern Road)

Age: All ages

Cost: Free

Activities Include: Jazzercise warm-up (6:45 AM), Independence Day 5K (7:30 AM), 1-Mile Fun Run (8:15 AM), 5K awards at Train Depot (8:30 AM), Flag Ceremony with Boy Scout Troop 12 and Civil Air Patrol (9:00 AM), National Anthem, parade (10:00 AM), parade trophies, Lutz Guv’na Inauguration, Cake Auction Fundraiser at Lutz Civic Center
