Suncoast Primate Sanctuary

The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in Palm Harbor with an outdoor facility that is home to over 100 animals including Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Monkeys, Reptiles, Tropical Birds, and more.

Whether coming to the Sanctuary after no longer being able to be cared for as a personal pet or retiring from the laboratory and film industries, the Sanctuary is here to provide these magnificent animals with a safe haven to spend the rest of their lives in peace and with dignity. The Sanctuary is run entirely by volunteers and relies on the generosity of the community and local businesses.

Every Saturday and Sunday watch The Gator Crusader perform his educational show. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, you don’t want to miss it! 

Shows start at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. 

Picnic tables are available on site, so feel free to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages.

They are open from Thursday-Sunday, 10am-4pm.
