Rooted in Play Every Child Plays – School Break Camps 2026

Rooted in Play presents Every Child Plays, an inclusive, child-led camp built for kids in K–5th grade of all abilities, with intentional support for children with varying needs. The focus stays on open-ended play, creativity, sensory exploration, and social connection rather than structured lessons. Camp days run in small groups with trained playworkers, plus on-site speech and occupational therapy support to help shape an environment where every child can participate comfortably. Lunch and snacks come included, and the experience stays consistent across all five days of each session.

Date and Time:

• Spring Break Camp: March 16–20, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Summer Camp Sessions:

  • June 1–5

  • June 8–12

  • June 15–19

  • June 22–26

  • All sessions: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• No after-care; pickup between 3:45–4:00 PM

Age:

• Kindergarten through 5th grade

Cost:

• Free for all participants (funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County)
