Camp Rocky – USF St. Petersburg Campus Recreation Summer Camp

Camp Rocky at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg offers a summer program designed for children to stay active, learn new skills, and build friendships in a structured and supportive environment. Hosted by the university’s Campus Recreation department, the camp combines outdoor activities, group learning experiences, and recreational games throughout the week.

The program encourages campers to work together, make decisions as a team, and build confidence while enjoying a variety of engaging activities on the USF St. Petersburg campus.

Age Groups:

• Little Bulls: Ages 7–8
• Junior Bulls: Ages 9–10

Campers are placed into groups based on their age at the start of each session.

Camp Hours:

• Camp: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Drop-off: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM
• Pick-up: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM

A late pickup fee applies after 4:30 PM.

2026 Camp Dates:

• Week 1: June 1 – June 5, 2026
• Week 2: June 8 – June 12, 2026
• Week 3: June 15 – June 18, 2026 (Closed June 19)
• Week 4: June 21 – June 26, 2026

Cost:

Weeks 1, 2, and 4

• Regular Registration (Mar 2 – May 3): $425
• Late Registration (May 1 – May 29): $450

Week 3 (short week)

• Regular Registration: $345
• Late Registration: $370

Daily Activities May Include:

• Arts and crafts
• Swimming and water activities
• Fitness and exercise sessions
• Indoor and outdoor games
• Boat rides
• Special visits from campus partners

Camp Group Size:

• Maximum 12 campers per group
• Staff-to-camper ratio no greater than 1:6

All staff members complete background checks and receive certification in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR, ensuring a safe environment for participants.
