New Worlds Reading Initiative (Florida)

New Worlds Reading is a free statewide literacy program that sends one new book every month to eligible students in VPK–5th grade who are not yet reading on grade level. Books are mailed directly to your home and are chosen based on your child’s interests, helping them build their very own personal library.

The goal of the program is to boost reading confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and help kids develop a lifelong love of reading through fun stories and easy-to-use family activities.

Who Is Eligible

Students in:

• VPK–5th grade in Florida public or charter schools, and

• Not yet meeting grade-level reading expectations

How to Apply (Takes 5 minutes!)

1. Fill out a quick online application with your child’s info and language preference.

2. Wait for email confirmation of eligibility.

3. If eligible, your child will start receiving free monthly books + activities!
