Liberty by the Bay – Tampa’s 250th Independence Day Celebration
The City of Tampa is pulling out all the stops for America’s 250th birthday with one of the largest Fourth of July events in Tampa Bay at Julian B. Lane Park. Highlights include a spectacular 250-drone light show, fireworks finale, live bands, a Patriotic Pet Show, Kids Liberty Procession, water ski show on the Hillsborough River, and a beer garden — all free and on the waterfront.
Date and Time: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Drone show & fireworks 9:00–9:30 PM)
Location: Julian B. Lane Park, Tampa, FL (additional festivities along the Tampa Riverwalk)
Age: All ages (family friendly; pets welcome)
Cost: Free and open to the public
Activities Include: Kids Zone (4:00–8:30 PM), food trucks, beer garden, live band performances, DJ entertainment, Patriotic Pet Show hosted by Humane Society of Tampa Bay (5:15–5:45 PM), water ski show hosted by Friends of the Riverwalk (6:15–7:00 PM), Kids Liberty Procession hosted by Glazer Children’s Museum (6:45–7:15 PM), 250-drone light show, fireworks finale, Friends of the Riverwalk Patriotic Boat Parade, additional fireworks at Armature Works and Jackson’s Bistro
