2021 Summer Camp
OMA Karate summer camp in Riverview, FL encourages fun, fitness, and friendships while instilling self-control, discipline, and respect in a safe environment. Our program is the perfect way for kids to be introduced to Martial Arts, even if they have never trained before. The children will be instructed in the art of Shotokan karate including learning self-defense, stranger danger techniques and how to avoid lures that are essential for children to know.
Ages: 5 to 12 years old.
Camp Hours: 8 am to 6:00 pm
Camp Dates: June – Aug 2021.

COVID-19: Camper, parent, staff member or anyone that needs to enter the academy will undergo screening procedures, at the entrance door, no exceptions. Screening procedures include temperature readings and OMA questionnaire read, dated, and signed by parent/guardian/adult. Children or staff with a temperature of 99.5 will not be allowed to come into the dojo. Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up at the curb in front of Dojo. Staff is required to wear masks, except during Karate training or outside activities. Campers will not have to wear masks, if a parent prefers to send a mask, please make sure to label it with the camper’s name. Staff and campers will be required to sanitize or wash their hands before entering the academy each morning, upon arrival, when done with an activity, before entering the bathroom, after using the restroom, before and after eating, and after coughing or sneezing. CDC recommendations regarding covering coughs and sneezes will be followed. All areas and equipment will be cleaned with the appropriate disinfectants after each activity and after each karate class/group, daily.
Camp is offered the whole summer months or on a week by week basis. Depending on availability, there is a daily rate for some weeks. Early registration guarantees a spot for the weeks you choose during summer time.
