You can enjoy the great outdoors at this lakeside nature park in Lake County.
Hickory Point Recreation Park is located along the shores of Little Lake Harris and Lake Harris in Lake County Florida. The park offers a variety of recreation activities including a scenic nature trail and boardwalk, a fishing pier, a swimming beach, playgrounds, a boat ramp, and picnic pavilions. The boardwalk and nature trail are over one mile in length and provide excellent views of the lake and the wetlands along its shore. The boardwalk zig-zags under ancient cypress trees that tower overhead, in the water below you can spot fish, snakes, and occasionally alligators.
Hickory Point Recreation Park is free to visit and located just outside Tavares, Florida – approximately 45 minutes north west of downtown Orlando. The park is open daily, twenty four hours a day unless otherwise posted. Pets are welcome but must be leashed.
