Please note: Sunken Gardens is different from a typical public park. Our plants, trees, animals, and structures are delicate and part of the Sunken Gardens’ living collection. Some of these plants and structures are over 100 years old! We’re one of the last remaining Florida roadside attractions. We appreciate your help in preserving this historic gem in St. Petersburg by staying on the paths, refraining from touching or climbing the plants and structures, and respecting the animals’ space by enjoying them from a distance.
The Flamingos Forever Committee was so successful in raising funds for the purchase of flamingos for Sunken Gardens that a non-profit organization, Sunken Gardens Forever Foundation, has been formed to support special projects at the Gardens. Visit them on Facebook and consider joining to help support Sunken Gardens!
