The USF Botanical Gardens is located in the heart of Tampa on the University of South Florida campus. It consists of about 16 acres of gardens and a greenbelt that is open to the public. The Gardens maintain a living collection of more than 3,000 plants, animals, and natural habitats. Now that’s a lot to see!
The garden gets about 35,000 visitors annually, the gardens serve as an important outreach component of USF.
Plant festivals and other events attract enthusiasts from around the state to shop for rare and unusual plants. The USF Gardens house ongoing research in medical botany, provide opportunities for service-learning to USF students and is a great way for student organizations to get involved on campus.
