We love going to restaurants with our family and on occasion we eat out for brunch. We were invited as a guest to check out Another Broken Egg Cafe in Clearwater Beach and we had no idea how delicious their food would be. It’s the type of food that puts a smile on your face and in your tummy! It is a Foodie delight with a very warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Their menu was organized in carefully crafted sections which made it easy to read. As we reviewed the menu, the kids were busy coloring pages they received from the hostess desk. We love that this place was so welcoming to families with children. Since the food looked so good, we decided to pick a few things from the menu and eat family style.
We ordered from their Sweet Temptations section that will definitely satisfy and sweet cravings you happen to have.
We chose the Banana Foster Pancakes which included two large plate sized pancakes topped with New Orleans-style Foster sauce, bananas, chopped pecans and whipped cream. The pancakes were fluffy and the Foster sauce was perfectly sweet and the addition of the chopped pecans brought the entire dish together. The pancakes also came with two eggs any style and a choice of meat.
The French Toast dish was a hit with the kids. You can’t go wrong with large thick -sliced Hawaiian bread topped with powdered sugar.
We suggest getting an order of their house made sausage patties. We love being able to see the fresh herbs in the sausage.
From the Brunch Specialties section we decided to go with the Crab Cakes & Fried Green Tomatoes. We loved that the crab cakes were full of flavor and it was a nice helping of crab meat. The fried green was perfectly fried and the spinach salad was a great way to cool down the dish.
We absolutely loved the food and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to residents and visitors in the Tampa Bay area. Thankfully they have three locations and are looking to add even more locations in the near future. Check out their location off of Dale Mabry in Tampa, Clearwater and Clearwater Beach.
