The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year! From the smell of BBQ to the sparkle of fireworks in the night sky, this is one day that screams celebration, sunshine, and good old-fashioned family fun.
Whether you’re new to the area or just looking for new traditions, I’ve gathered the most complete county-by-county guideto the best Fourth of July 2025 events happening across Tampa Bay, Pasco, Pinellas, and beyond. So grab your mini flags, matching family shirts, and a cooler full of snacks—let’s plan your Independence Day the mom-approved way!
Hillsborough County Events
1. Liberty by the Bay
Julian B. Lane Park, Tampa – July 4, 4:00–9:30 PM
Tampa’s biggest Independence Day celebration honors America’s 250th birthday with a 250-drone light show, fireworks finale, and a full evening of live music, food trucks, and family fun along the waterfront. Catch the Patriotic Pet Show at 5:15 PM, cheer on the Kids Liberty Procession at 6:45 PM, and watch the water ski show on the Hillsborough River — then stay for the National Anthem and Mayor’s proclamation before the drones light up the sky at 9:00 PM. Free TECO Line Streetcar service runs from Ybor City to downtown.
2. Friends of the Riverwalk – July 4th Boat Parade
Tampa Riverwalk – July 4, 6:15–9:30 PM
The Tampa Riverwalk’s signature Patriotic Boat Parade winds along the Hillsborough River alongside the Liberty by the Bay celebration, with decorated boats competing for the most patriotic vessel. Catch the water ski show on the river, or upgrade to the VIP experience at Jackson’s Bistro for premium fireworks views. Want to join the parade? Register your boat for just $20.26.
3. A Real Big Fourth of July – Armature Works
Armature Works, 1910 N Ola Ave, Tampa – July 4, 4:00–10:00 PM
Throw on your best denim and celebrate Independence Day along the Tampa riverfront with live country and EDM performances from Michael Ray, DJ VAVO, and Dee Jay Silver, plus a Hot Dog Eating Competition and fireworks over the water. Presented by Real American Beer and benefiting K9s for Warriors, this all-American bash also features the Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade cruising by in patriotic style — with family-friendly fun from start to finish.
4. Catch the Spirit & Celebrate America – Hillsborough County Fairgrounds
215 Sydney Washer Road, Dover – July 4, 1:00 PM until late
Back for its second year and bigger than ever, this high-energy family festival packs in an antique car show (100+ cars), a patriotic drone show at sunset, live music by Ridge Country, a pet parade, Little Miss and Mr. Firecracker competition, watermelon-eating contest, costume contest, Hillsborough County Fire and Sheriff vehicle displays, Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, kids’ inflatables, farm animals, beer tents, local food trucks, and community vendors — truly something for everyone from the first bite to the final beat.
5. Brandon’s 4th of July Parade & Fun Fest
Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, 215 Sydney Washer Road, Dover – July 4, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
One of Greater Brandon’s favorite Independence Day traditions returns to honor 250 years of American freedom with a community parade, live music, pony rides, a petting zoo, chili cook-off, watermelon and cherry pie eating contests, food vendors, and a full marketplace — all free and family friendly from start to finish.
6. 51st 4th of July Celebration – Temple Terrace
Temple Terrace – July 4, Parade 10:00 AM | Evening Celebration 6:00 PM
Temple Terrace’s beloved Independence Day tradition kicks off with a morning parade from the Family Recreation Complex down Gillette Avenue, then shifts to the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club for an evening of live music, DJ entertainment, food vendors, family activities, and a fireworks finale at approximately 9:15 PM.
7. Freedom Fest – American Victory Ship & Museum
705 Channelside Drive, Tampa – July 4, 6:00–9:15 PM
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday aboard the Official Flagship of Florida with front-row views of the July 4th Boat Parade (~6:30 PM) and fireworks at 9:00 PM, plus food trucks, a Kids Zone, live DJ, and All-American photo ops. Tickets start at $11 for youth, $12 for military/veterans/first responders, and $16 for adults — children 3 and under are free. Rain or shine, no refunds.
8. 4th of July Celebration – Plant City Stadium
Plant City Stadium – July 4, 5:00–9:30 PM
A free, family-friendly evening of live music, food trucks, vendors, and community fun capped off with a fireworks show at 9:15 PM. Grab your red, white, and blue and don’t forget cash for the $5 parking fee and a chance at the 50/50 raffle.
9. 250th Celebration – Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, 10165 N McKinley Drive – May 22 – July 5, 2026
Go all-American this summer with world-class coasters, live shows like Beach Bash and Cirque Electric, Americana-inspired food, and the brand-new Wild Skies Drone & Fireworks Show lighting up the night sky every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 10. Lutz 4th of July Celebration

Lutz goes all out for Independence Day with a Jazzercise warm-up, a 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, flag ceremony, community parade, and a post-parade celebration featuring the Lutz Guv’na Inauguration and a Cake Auction Fundraiser. This year’s theme — “Lutz Salutes 250 Years! Let Freedom Ring! 1776–2026” — makes it an extra special celebration.
11. July 4th Fireworks Cruise – Yacht StarShip
Tampa Convention Center Dock / Clearwater Beach – July 4, Boarding 7:30 PM | Cruise 8:00–10:00 PM
Skip the lawn chairs and upgrade your Independence Day with a 2.5-hour dinner cruise featuring a premium open bar, buffet dinner, DJ entertainment, and front-row views of Tampa’s fireworks over the water. 12. July 4th Patriotic Boat Parade – Pirate Water Taxi
Downtown Tampa – July 4, 8:30 PM
Hop aboard the Pirate Water Taxi for a one-hour cruise along the Hillsborough River and catch front-row views of the July 4th Boat Parade, Blessing of the Fleet, and downtown Tampa’s fireworks display at 9 PM. Drinks available for purchase on board — patriotic attire encouraged.

13. Independence Day Picnic – Brandon Elks Lodge 2383
800 Centennial Lodge Drive, Brandon – July 4, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
The Brandon Elks Lodge throws open its doors to the public for an annual Independence Day Picnic featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken baskets with all the sides, and a cake and baked goods auction by the Brandon Ladies of Elks. While you’re there, take a tour of the beautiful Centennial Lodge.
14. 4th of July Celebration – Tampa Tarpons
George M. Steinbrenner Field, Tampa – July 4, Gates open 5:30 PM | First pitch 6:30 PM
What’s more American than baseball and fireworks? Catch the Tampa Tarpons on the 4th as part of their 2026 Stadium Series, featuring games, inflatables, face painting, and the biggest post-game fireworks show of the year. Everyday Heroes — military, police, firefighters, EMTs, and sheriffs — receive discounted $5 tickets with valid ID. Dugout Club ticketholders can also enjoy batting practice from 4:30–5:30 PM and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Free parking. Tickets start at $20 for the Stadium Series game.

15. Stars, Stripes & Science – MOSI
MOSI – Museum of Science and Innovation, 4801 E. Fowler Ave, Tampa – July 4, 4:00–10:00 PM
Celebrate the 4th of July at MOSI with a one-of-a-kind mix of live music by the Julie Black Duo, science demos, liquid nitrogen ice cream, a dunk tank, carnival games, baseball-themed activities, and special planetarium shows — including a sensory-friendly fireworks experience at 4:30 PM. Upgrade to the rooftop for 360° views of Tampa’s fireworks, telescope viewings, and complimentary refreshments. Note: MOSI closes to the public at 3 PM on the day of the event. Tickets: $15 children | $30 adults | $40–$55 rooftop upgrade.
Pinellas County Events
1. “The Fourth” Independence Day Celebration – St. Pete Pier
St. Pete Pier, 600 2nd Ave NE, St. Petersburg – July 4, 4:00–10:00 PM
One of Tampa Bay’s biggest Independence Day celebrations takes over the St. Pete Pier waterfront with live music on the Visit St. Pete Clearwater Main Stage, Uncle Sam’s Market, a craft beer garden, family fun zone, food trucks, and roaming entertainers — all building up to the City of St. Petersburg’s spectacular fireworks show over Tampa Bay at 9 PM. Early birds can also catch the St. Pete Pier Run starting at 6:30 AM near Spa Beach.

2. Clearwater Celebrates America – Coachman Park
Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland Street, Clearwater – July 3–4, 5:00–11:00 PM
Clearwater’s biggest patriotic bash spans two nights, featuring local vendors, food trucks, family activities, live music, buskers, and a free patriotic performance by the Coachman Pops Orchestra at The BayCare Sound. The evening peaks with a spectacular fireworks show over Clearwater Harbor at 9:15 PM, followed by a silent disco party on the Coachman Park Promenade Pier until 11:00 PM.
3. Hometown USA – Dunedin 4th of July Celebration
TD Ballpark, 373 Douglas Ave, Dunedin – July 4, Gates open 7:00 PM
Dunedin kicks off Independence Day with the beloved “Dunedin Goes Carting” patriotic golf cart parade through downtown, ending at TD Ballpark where a live band, outdoor movie, games, face painting, and fireworks at approximately 9:30 PM await. Free to attend with concessions available and free limited parking at TD Ballpark, Dunedin Library, and Hale Senior Activity Center.

4. Largo 4th of July Fireworks – Largo Central Park
Largo Central Park, Largo – July 4, 6:00–9:00 PM+
Bring your blankets and chairs for an evening of live music and one of the best fireworks displays in Pinellas County, launching shortly after 9 PM. Food and beverage vendors will be on site — just leave the pets, sparklers, and pop-up tents at home. Limited on-site parking is $10 (credit card only); free off-site parking at Largo Middle School.
5. Safety Harbor 4th of July – Parade & Fireworks
Main Street & Safety Harbor Waterfront Park – July 4, Parade 10:00 AM | Evening 5:00–9:00 PM
Safety Harbor’s beloved Independence Day kicks off with the American Legion Auxiliary’s patriotic parade down Main Street featuring floats, veterans, fire trucks, and marching bands. The evening shifts to the Waterfront Park for food trucks, kids activities, live entertainment, and one of the best fireworks displays in Tampa Bay launching at exactly 9:00 PM.
6. St. Pete Beach 4th of July Fireworks – Horan Park
Horan Park, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, St. Pete Beach – July 4, 6:00–9:00 PM+
Grab your chairs, coolers, and best patriotic attire for a classic beach-town Fourth of July. The Veterans of South Pinellas will be on-site serving beer and wine, a live band takes the stage at 7 PM, and fireworks light up the sky at 9 PM — visible from both Horan Park and the 300 Block of Corey Ave.
7. Madeira Beach Independence Day Celebration
R.O.C. Park, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach – July 4, 2026 (date to be confirmed — check madeirabeachfl.gov/events for updates)
This free, annual waterfront celebration typically features live music, food vendors, and a fireworks finale over Boca Ciega Bay. In past years, gates open at 6 PM with live music from 7–9 PM and fireworks at 9 PM. Bring blankets and chairs — personal coolers allowed (no glass). Free parking available at 200 Rex Place and 300 Municipal Drive. No pets or personal fireworks.

8. Gulfport Semiquincentennial 4th of July Celebration
Gulfport City Hall & Tomlinson Park & Williams Pier – July 4, 2026, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM+
Gulfport goes all out for America’s 250th with a one-of-a-kind day kicking off at City Hall with the opening of “The Spirit of ’76 Half Century Time Capsule,” followed by a Family Fun Day at Tomlinson Park from 10 AM–2 PM featuring vendors, activities, games, and children’s entertainment. The community parade follows, and the night wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display launched from Williams Pier at 9 PM — best viewed from Gulfport Beach. Free and open to the public.
9. Treasure Island 4th of July Beach Fireworks
Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island – July 4, 2026, Fireworks at 9:00 PM
One of the most laid-back ways to celebrate Independence Day in Pinellas — just grab a beach chair or towel, plant yourself on the sand near Gulf Front Park, and watch fireworks light up the Gulf sky. Metered public parking is available at Gulf Front Park, Treasure Island City Hall, and nearby St. Petersburg Municipal Beach.

10. 4th of July Fireworks – Fred Howard Park, Tarpon Springs
Fred Howard Park, 1700 Sunset Drive, Tarpon Springs – July 4, 2026, Fireworks at ~9:00 PM
After the morning’s Picnic in the Park wraps up at Craig Park, head to Fred Howard Park in the evening for the City of Tarpon Springs fireworks show, launched from Sunset Beach at dusk. Parking is free after 6 PM along the park, beach, and causeway — but arrive early as the gates close once capacity is reached. No alcohol or personal fireworks permitted.
Pasco County Events
1. Zephyrhills Summerfest
Zephyr Park, 38116 5th Ave, Zephyrhills – June 27, 2026, 2:00–9:30 PM
The 11th Annual Summerfest kicks off the Independence Day season early with a full afternoon of kids zone, bouncers, waterslides, food trucks, live music, and a 30-minute fireworks show over Zephyr Lake. Free to attend — one of Pasco County’s most beloved pre-Fourth traditions.
2. Red, White & BOOM – Dade City Farms
Dade City Farms, 17143 Lake Iola Road, Dade City – June 27, 2026, 3:00–9:00 PM
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the farm with hay wagon rides, exotic animals, giant waterslide inflatables, sack races, three-legged races, egg toss, food trucks, local vendors, and a fireworks finale at 9 PM. Buy early to save — advance tickets are $12 for adults and $9 for children (ages 3–12); day-of tickets are $14/$11. Kids 2 and under are free. A Family Four Pack (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 animal feed cups) is $40 — available for the first 100 families only. Groups of 10+ and active military receive a 10% discount.
3. 4th of July Celebration – Avalon Park Wesley Chapel

Avalon Park’s 10th Annual Fourth of July Festival features a bounce park, live entertainment from the Thomas E. Weightman Middle School Marching Band (5:30 PM) and Wesley Chapel Theater Group, an Apple Pie Bake-Off (entries 5–6 PM, winners announced 8 PM), and a patriotic bike, stroller, and wagon parade at 6 PM. The night caps off with fireworks at 9 PM — registration for the bike parade and bake-off encouraged before July 3rd.
4. Lutz Independence Day 5K, Fun Run & Parade

Kick off Independence Day early with the Lutz 5K at 7:30 AM and 1-Mile Fun Run at 8:15 AM, followed by awards at the Train Depot at 8:30 AM. The community parade begins at 10 AM from the corner of Crooked Lane and Lutz Lake Fern Road, followed by the Lutz Guv’na Inauguration, a Cake Auction Fundraiser, and this year’s special theme — “Lutz Salutes 250 Years! 5. 4th of July Picnic in the Park – Tarpon Springs

The City of Tarpon Springs hosts its beloved annual Picnic in the Park with live music, crafts, contests, refreshments, and waterslides for the whole family. Bring lawn chairs, swimsuits, towels, and sunscreen. As the sun sets, head to Fred Howard Park at 1700 Sunset Drive for the city’s fireworks show launched from Sunset Beach — free parking after 6 PM, but arrive early as gates close once capacity is reached. 4th of Family Fun Day Events & Fireworks
1534 Mound Street, Sarasota – July 4, 2026, 5:30–9:30 PM
One of Sarasota’s most beloved Independence Day traditions, this annual bayfront event features family-friendly activities, games on the Great Lawn, the Spheres Bubble Show by Blaise Rhynds, barbecue favorites from Michael’s On East Grill, Kona Ice, and a spectacular fireworks display over Sarasota Bay. General admission typically ranges from $10–$35; an all-inclusive Selby Experience pass with valet parking, buffet, and open bar is also available. Rain or shine — bring lawn chairs and bug spray.

One LEGOLAND Way, Winter Haven, FL 33884 – July 4, 2026, 10:00 AM – park close

LEGOLAND’s bricktastic 4th of July celebration features extended park hours, a DJ Dance Party, star-spangled activities, and an unforgettable fireworks show over Lake Eloise — viewed through special 3D glasses that turn the fireworks into exploding LEGO bricks. All Red, White & BOOM! activities are included with regular park admission. Weather-dependent; some activities subject to cancellation.
3200 River Ranch Blvd, River Ranch, FL 33867 – July 4, 2026, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Rodeo 7:30 PM)
The most unique Independence Day experience near Tampa Bay — celebrate at the largest dude ranch east of the Mississippi with a Splashtacular 4th of July Showdown at River Country Water Park featuring night swimming, cowboy stilt walkers, a live interactive DJ, and a full fireworks show at 9 PM. The Saturday Night Rodeo runs at 7:30 PM with bull riding, trick riding, barrel racing, and calf roping. Resort guests enjoy the water park free; day guests can purchase a 1-Day Adventure Pass ($34.95). Rodeo tickets start at $104.
