Swim with the Rays

Swimming is a life-long skill that everyone can enjoy regardless of age. We offer year-round Swimming and Water Safety Programs through the American Red Cross. Participants learn how to be safe in, on, or around water and through progressive levels, learn knowledge and skills needed for aquatic skill development.

This summer, your child could be part of Swim with the RAYS, a collaboration between the Rays Baseball Foundation and the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department to bring attention to the importance of life-saving water safety programs in our community.

Swim with the RAYS will be available at all twelve Tampa Parks and Recreation pool facilities from June 3rd to August 31st, 2019. The program is available for ages 6 months to 17 years old.

How do you qualify? Parents or guardians are required to complete an application and provide proof of one of the following:

  • A free or reduced lunch form for each child from the Hillsborough County School Board.
  • A letter of verification for any state or federal assistance for each child that includes the dates of eligibility.
  • State documentation for foster children.

Families can register today for the Swim with Rays program.
