Nestled in downtown Tampa with a view of the Curtis-Hixon Park, the Museum features interactive exhibits where kids can invent, construct, pretend, navigate and initiate new creations.

Soak up information and play while ascending the 35 foot structure, the Water‰s Journey exhibit. Parents and kids can assume the identity of a drop of water by traveling through the water cycle from evaporation to flowing into the rocky Florida aquifer.Or, kids can utilize their motor skills on their quest to find buried treasure next to a docked cruise ship. Future navigators can also charter their adventure on the boat with a working periscope.

Wrangle water at the museum‰s mammoth water table. Steer boats and cargo through shipping channels. Experiment how to make a storm at the museum‰s weather station. Future firefighters can visit the museum‰s child-friendly firehouse. Don the safety gear and run the firetruck‰s siren and lights. Also, prospective pilots can fly a replica biplane to navigate flight over cityscapes.

Kids become the consumer while shopping in a simulated grocery store with carts. They can also operate the cash register, sack their purchases and replenish the store‰s inventory.
Traverse physical challenges at the Kid‰s Moving activity space. Tackle the mini climbing wall, play lily pad hopscotch, race a rabbit or practice being a virtual goalkeeper.

Additionally, catch a bite to eat at the in-house Subway area. There are character meet and greets, story times, and even dancing opportunities. Can‰’t get enough of the museum? Sign up for a membership and extend the fun for one full year.
