Free Entrance Days in the National Parks
The National Parks will always be a family destination and an America way of getting outdoors and enjoying nature. The beautiful U.S.A. has about 405 national parks spread from north to south and east to west.
Only 124 of these national parks charge an entrance fee. For those who do charge an entrance free, the U.S. National Park Service is providing free entrance on select 2022 dates.
Come experience the national parks! On five days in 2022, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2022:
- January 17: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
- April 16: First day of National Park Week
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 24: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
