Have anåÊold fashioned picnic on Sunday, March 6, 2016., starting at 10 am, in Plant Park at the Henry B. Plant Museum. åÊBring your blanket, pack a picnic basket and chair and come for a good time!
Relax in the shade, or enjoy fun challenges of hoops & sticks, croquet, horseshoes, badminton, and three-legged races. Victorian table games will be offered including dominoes, checkers, jacks or tiddlywinks. They will have strolling models in vintage clothing, live theater, and continuous entertainment on Center Stage.
Center Stage Schedule:
10 am: Flexible Four Barbershop Quartet
11 am: Make Believe Theater
Noon: Matt Weihmuller Jazz Trio
1 pm: Upstairs/Downstairs Live Theater with Teddy Roosevelt
2 pm: Tampa Community Band – Conductor, Jahn Van De Putte
In addition to live entertainment, community partners will offer crafts and activities.
Visitors will be entertained by a high-wheel bicycle demonstration by members of The Wheelmen. The group is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of antique bicycles.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
It’s free to have a picnic in the park and you can enjoy $1 admission at the Henry B. Plant Museum from Noon-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 6th.
