2019-2020 Thanksgiving & Winter Break Camps in Pinellas County

What do parents do when school is out for the holidays? Why not try a fun and engaging Thanksgiving or Winter Break Camp to keep your kids busy and entertained. Across Pinellas County you will find camps in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Largo, Dunedin and surrounding cities.  

Many of these holiday camps offer full day and half day camps and early drop off and late pick up.

You can also find Holiday Camps around Tampa that may be worth the drive. As we hear about more holiday camps. We will update this post.


1. Clearwater Parks & Recreation

Gobble Gobble! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. This means school will be out for many students. Don’t let your children get bored, send them to Clearwater Thanksgiving Camps.

Dates: Nov. 25-27th, 7:30am-5:30 p.m.
Age: Grades K-8th
Fee: $54 w/ Recreation Card & $60 w/o Recreation Card
Register: Visit the recreation center of your choice to register.

2. Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Kids can explore the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and their amazing resident animals during the holiday break. Children will learn all about our Florida marine life and so much more!

Dates: November 25-27, 2019
Grade Range: K-5th Grade
Fee: All 3 Days of Camp – $150.00, $135.00 for Members/Annual Passholders.
Single Day Camp – $74.99, $67.50 for Members/Annual Passholders.

3. Largo Recreation Thanksgiving & Winter Break Camps
You’ll find a variety of Thanksgiving & Winter Break camps that includes fall games, crafts, science experiments, field trips and so much more. 
Dates: Nov. 25-27th, Times vary w/ each camp
Dec. 23, 26-27, Dec. 30, 31, Jan. 2-3
Age: Grades K-5th
Fee: $30- $125 (Ranges with each camp)


4. Dunedin Parks & Recreation 

Dunedin Parks & Rec offers a variety of fun when school is out. Your child will have fun and thrive physically and socially through supervised sports, games, indoor and outdoor activities, crafts, music and more.

Dates: Nov. 25- 27th, Dec. 23-24, 27, Dec. 30- Jan. 6th from 9am-5pm
Age: K-5th grade

5. Museum of Fine Arts Single Day Camps

Grateful for Grasshoppers Fall Camp: From creepy-crawly to art, by golly! Meet a local entomologist, discover why artists and scientists alike celebrate the essential role insects play in our environment. See how contemporary artist Jennifer Angus transforms thousands of insects into immersive installations as you explore the museum’s special exhibition ‘The Grasshopper and the Ant’ and Other Stories, as told by Jennifer Angus.

MFA Thankful for Theater Fall Camp: Be a star on the Ancient Greek stage! Trace your favorite stories and movies all the way back to antiquity as you travel through time, and tour the special exhibition Ancient Theater and the Cinema. Then learn your lines, create your costume, and perform a piece from Ancient Greece in a mini-movie of your own!

6. Bayside Thanksgiving Break Camp

Does gymnastics and games sound fun to your child? Sign up for Bayside Thanksgiving Break Camp where they will stay busy learning gymnastics skills as they improve their physical well-being and self-esteem through gymnastics instruction, open play, games, and more. Full- and Half-Day Camps are available!

7. Morean Arts Thanksgiving Break Art Camp (5-10 years old)  & Photoshop Camp (11- 16 yrs old) 

Join the Morean Arts Center for a 3-day Thanksgiving Break Art Camp for children where they will explore a variety of mediums in both guided and self-guided experiences. There will also be a Photoshop Camp for Teens 13-16 years old.  Campers will take pictures and learn to edit and manipulate using Photoshop in the brand new Digital Lab.

8. Practically Pikasso Thanksgiving Break Camp

Campers will learn about process, technique, and art history while having tons of fun exploring and expanding their creativity. This is not a “keep them busy” camp, this is a genuine art camp. Projects include, but are not limited to, pottery, canvas, clay, mosaics, and more. Camp includes an optional field trip to Crescent Lake Park at no additional cost. Practically Pikasso, November 25-27, 9:30am-4pm (extended care available), ages 5-12, $55/full day ($65/drop in), $35/half day ($45/drop in), sibling discounts available.

9. St. Petersburg Parks & Rec Nature Camps

The adventure awaits! Campers will discover nature and wildlife, exercise creativity, all while learningg to care for our environment. Camps take place when Pinellas County’s schools are on break. 10. St. Petersburg Parks & Rec Fall & Winter Camps

St. Petersburg Parks & Rec camp program is designed to offer youth from kindergarten to fifth grade a fun, engaging and memorable experience while vacationing from school. Through creative planned activities, indoor and outdoor rotating activities, special events and field trips, campers are able to play, learn and explore with friends under the supervision of well-trained staff.

Fall Camp
Dates: November 25-27, 2019, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Fee: $54 (Full) • $45.90 (Reduced) • $18.90 (Free)

Winter Camps
Dates: December 23-27 and December 30, 2019 – January 3, 2020, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Fee: $72/week (Full) • $61.20/week (Reduced) • $25.20/week (Free)





11. School of Skatin Fall Skateboarding Camp

All skill levels welcome! Beginner, intermediate and advanced! Beginners will focus on the basics of pushing, stance, balance, ollie, turning, stopping, and basic street style and skate park tricks. Intermediate/Advanced will focus on the more technical aspect of skateboarding like kickflips, ledges, handrails, switch stance skating and more technical ramp and park skating.

Dates: November 25-27, 8am-5:30pm
Fee: $150/3 days or $55/day
Age: 3- 16 years old
