Tampa Bay Area Drive-In Movie Theatres

Movie night is a great family-friendly activity. Now try having a movie night in the car? Now that’s a nice twist.

Across Tampa Bay there are still a handful of drive-in theatres ready to bring back the nostalgia from the 1950’s and early 1960’s where drive-in ‘s peaked in popularity.

Tampa Bay drive-in’s continue to have that family-centered feel that the original drive-in theaters began with. The prices at Tampa Bay drive-in’s are significantly lower than at regular enclosed movie theaters. It is truly a different way to watch a movie.

What to expect at a Tampa Bay Area Drive-In Theatre:
-Expect to see first-run movies and usually one admission price allows you to watch two movies.

– Arrive early to get a good front row parking spot.

– Turn off your car lights.

– Listen to the movie using the radio in your car. The drive-in will tell you the exact station to turn to.

– A snack bar located on site should be available and may include popcorn, hot dogs, nacho’s and other food items. Your food purchase help keep these Drive-Ins profitable and open.

– To help keep cost down, some Tampa Bay drive-ins only accept CASH.

Are you getting excited for some fun family time in the comfort of your car? Here is a list of Drive-In Theaters around the beautiful Tampa Bay.
