This museum boasts three floors of exhibits focusing on 12,000 years of Florida history. The Tampa Bay History Center is located along the Riverwalk and features a museum store, the Witt Research Center, a map gallery, event hall, and the Columbia Caf̩.

Family friendly programs are offered throughout the year with programs for both adults and kids. Exhibits teach of Florida‰Ûªs first people, European exploration, and the history of Cigar City, to name a few.

A gallery scavenger hunt is available to turn the visit into a fun quest, popular with kids. Interactive stations throughout the museum allow kids to experience history with hands-on activities.

As a Smithsonian Affiliate the center has access to the Smithsonian‰Ûªs artifacts and resources and is able to extend discounts to members of other Smithsonian Affiliate museums.

Closed: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
Holiday Hours: New Years Eve & Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
