The Art Spot at the Tampa Museum of Art

Bring the kids for drop in art project at the Tampa Museum of Art every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids can complete theme based art projects that goes along with the current exhibits at the museum.

The art projects are always free and may include painting, creating a collage, building a sculpture or drawing a masterpiece. The art projects are self-guided and allow children to experiment with an assortment of artistic techniques.

The use of all supplies are free as well. The Art Spot is held in the Golding-Scher classroom. Registration is not required for participation.

When your children are done with their art projects, you can visit the Tampa Museum of Art for regular admission prices to see the exhibits.

Family-Friendly Tip: If your children needs to get the wiggles out, they could head on over to the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park right across the Tampa Museum of Art. There’s a nice playground overlooking the beautiful Hillsborough river and a huge lawn for playing and running.

The museum is also located near the Glazer Childrens Museum and nearby parking is available in the Poe Garage, across the street.
