1. Music & Story Time

The Shops at Wiregrass hosts a free kid-friendly event every month on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 10am-11am in the Center Court section near Macy’s. This free event features music with Mr. Tommy, a favorite children’s entertainer, balloon art with Tony the Balloon Guy, and face painting. Sometimes they may add some special changes like a fire truck display or something similar and they may host it under the garage area.

2. Explore the Local Library
The library is a great place for babies, toddlers, teens and adults. It is one place that can accommodate the needs of all. Libraries calendars are filled with fun and engaging activities for children especially. With dedicated kids sections, toys and games, you’ll find a safe haven to spend time with your children.
Activities: Baby story times are usually held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m.
Toddler Storytime is usually held on Fridays at 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
Preschool Storytime is usually held on Fridays at 1:30 p.m.

3. Get out in Nature
Many communities have their own local playgrounds and splash pad areas for their residents. If your’re looking to explore more community park offerings, check out the findings below.

Shaded and paved trail and it connects to Flatwoods. The parking is free, however bathrooms are not easily accessible.
Wesley Chapel District Park, 7727 Boyette Rd., Wesley Chapel, FL 33544
This district park consists of a playground, picnic tables and charcoal grills throughout the park. Several athletic fields for adult and youth. There is a fitness trail so you can get some outdoor exercise and they just added a push-up station and a dip station so you can workout as you walk along the trail.

Open 7 days a week and has a large playground area, picnic tables and benches.

The beautiful park offers two great playgrounds and a nice walking trail. It also has workout stations throughout the park. The Water Park is closed each year from December 15th through March 1st for maintenance.After that time, it’s a great spot to keep toddlers and kids of all ages entertained.
4. Bounce & Play
Bangin Bungee is a children’s indoor play and party center located at The Shops at Wiregrass in the center of Wesley Chapel, Florida. The indoor play center has bounce houses and climbing areas for little children. They also offer birthday parties. Prices for children under 3yrs old is currently $7. It’s $13.00 for children 3yrs and up, bring a friend for only $10.00.

The recreation complex consists of a large gymnasium with indoor basketball courts and activity rooms. The rooms can be rented for birthday parties, meetings or classes. There is a pool building with a large outdoor pool with a diving area, however, it is only open to the public during the summer months.
Toddler Time: Free and open to the public on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex consists of 79.3 acres with several baseball, football, and soccer fields along with tennis and basketball courts. There are shelters available for parties or picnics. The large pavilion can be reserved but the small shelter available on a first-come first-served basis.

My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. The gym host a variety of classes by age group that is ideal for children four and under. Classes may include activities such as singing time, dance, swing, playing games, watching puppet shows, taking turns on special rides, and more.
Cost for classes vary. They do offer a free class for those wanting to test the gym out before committing.

Did you know gymnastics can help with coordination and stimulate the brain for better learning? Join Premier Gymnastics for their Tot Open Gym where your child is free to play as they choose and explore the world of gymnastics!
Tot Open Gym is only available on select days. Please visit their website for the exact dates. However, their Tot Open Gym is usually held on Monday from 9.30am-11.00am, Tuesday from 11:30am – 1:00pm, and Sunday from 10:30am-12:00pm on pre-selected dates.

Stroller Strides is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies and toddlers. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser.
