Walk-Thru Holiday Lights Guide

Holiday walk-thru lights in the Tampa Bay area is a great way to spend some family time. Even out-of-town guests will definitely enjoy Tampa Bay’s special display of Lights from Tampa to Spring Hill and cities in between.


Grab a light sweater and some walking shoes and take a stroll through these beautiful walk-thru holiday light displays. Snap a picture and make this a fun family tradition for the holidays.

1. Tampa Bay Festival of Lights 

Dates: November 23- Dec. 31, 2023

Cost: Tickets are $25/car (8 people) or $80/bus (30 people). 

Your hometown holiday festival returns with more lights, new entertainment and the gift of family fun! Beginning Thanksgiving Day and running through New Year’s Eve, Tampa Bay’s Festival of Lights & Santa’s Village envelops families in more than 1 million lights along an expanded 2-mile drive. Favorites such as the Pirates of Tampa guarding the entry to the 110-ft. drive-thru animated tunnel, the Florida-themed alligators and airboats, and lively animals frolicking are joined by a new dip “Under the Sea,” sparkling with blue lights and playful aquatic creatures. Santa’s Village is packed with tasty treats and activities, including holiday-themed rides, a winter market that’s open every night, and the Hometown

Hillsborough Historical Village, complete with firepits where families can make yummy s’mores. Visits with Santa, Santa’s workshop with craft stations, Santa’s Barnyard, camel rides, holiday movies, and live entertainment on the weekends promise endless fun for the entire family. Don’t be surprised to find the Grinch or Jack Frost strolling around Santa’s Village.

 

2. Enchant Christmas

3.Christmas Town at Busch Gardens

Christmas Town will run from Nov. 11, 2023- January 7. 2023

Christmas Town is open until 10 p.m. on select dates.

The holidays come to life at Busch Gardens® Christmas Town™, the park’s award-winning holiday event. Christmas Town runs daily with park-wide festive fun from November 12 through January 2.

Celebrate the year with holiday cheer and create merry memories for the whole family during this iconic seasonal event. Included in park admission, park guests can enjoy holiday traditions with a twist, from millions of twinkling lights throughout the park’s 335 acres to holiday shows and visits with Santa and Rudolph® the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

 

 

 

4. Holiday Lights in Largo Central Park

This family-friendly annual tradition presented by the City of Largo, starting November 23 through December 31st features a spectacular holiday light display, stunning carousel and seven-story Ferris wheel that offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the 70-acre Largo Central Park and more than two million dazzling LED lights.

Park admission is free. Carnival rides are $6 each or purchase a 10 ride pass for $50.00.

Food and beverage vendors on site selling delicious treats and eats. Dogs on a leash are welcome but must remain on the leash at all times.

 

5. The Oakdale Christmas House Light Display

The 2023 Oakdale Christmas Light Displays are among the best in the U.S. and Tampa Bay. Holiday Light Display features 1/2 million lights. Only display to make HGTVs #1 & NBCs Today show top 3 the same year. Definitely add it to your bucket list of holiday light events. The light display covers approximately 1/2 acre. 2021‐Many major additions, upgrades and changes in both lights and displays.

 

 

6. Symphony in Lights at The Shops at Wiregrass

Symphony of Lights is back at The Shops at Wiregrass! This amazing holiday light show is choreographed to music featuring the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. This year features all-new lights, from 6-9pm nightly.

7. Christmas Lane – Plant City

Over 2000 volunteer hours have prepared the winter wonderland full of the magic of Christmas at every turn. With over 1.5 million lights, drawing more than 180,000 watts of power, and adorning over 200 Christmas trees from 4 to 40 feet, our scenes are built with lots of love!

8. Holiday Lights at The Botanical Gardens

12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL

Dates:Friday, November 24, 2023 — Sunday, December 31, 2023; 5:30- 9:30 PM

Cost: There is a suggested donation of $10 per person, with kids 12 and under free. Donations support our new Majeed Discovery Garden for children.

 

The Gardens will sparkle with 1 million, twinkling, LED lights in a multitude of colors. Vibrant laser lights and lighted figures round out our display to wow guests of all ages. Our friends, The Train Guys, will be back again for the opening weekend of the event. Their model trains will surround our 18-foot evergreen tree, bedecked in nature-inspired splendor, in the heart of the Wedding Garden.4

 

 

 

 

9. Nights of Shimmering Lights

This is a self-guided 1/3-mile walking trail through dancing lights to music, outdoor movies, scavenger hunt, maze, and face painting, games!  New pieces were added this year plus bringing back our FOAM play area on select nights.  Be sure to bring some dry clothes!!  Check out our calendar for the FOAM nights.  It’s a short drive to the country to enjoy an evening on the farm with your friends and family.

Would you rather sit in a car or spend time walking and talking with your friends enjoying the lights? Something for young, old, and in between.  Walk the trail as many times as your energy allows.

10. McCall Park Holiday Lights- Downtown Plant City

100 N. Collins Street, Plant City, FL 33563

Come stroll through McCall Park in Plant City to mark the holiday season. A 20+ foot live tree is adorned with lights “purchased” by individuals, families and businesses in honor or memory of friends and loved ones.

There is also other holidays on display that you can walk-thru during the holiday season.

11. Holiday Lights in St. Petersburg

Cost:Free

Dates: Now until December 31st
Downtown Waterfront Parks

Take a stroll along the waterfront to see thousands of holiday lights and decorations in North Straub Park, South Straub Park, Pioneer Park, and St. Pete Pier.

Don’t miss the giant greeting card display along Bayshore Dr. at Vinoy Park made by local teens and participants from St. Petersburg’s recreation centers.

 

 

12. Winter Village at Curtis Hixon 

Dates: November 17, 2023 – January 1, 2024

Cost: Free to attend, pay for other activities

 

Celebrate the holiday season in Tampa’s Downtown at Winter Village, presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, in Curtis Hixon Park!

Located along the Tampa Riverwalk, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is transformed with the sights, sounds and activities of the holidays for children and adults of all ages. There’s ice skating, shopping and so much more to explore. Activities run until 11pm. See the full schedule at Winter Village. 

 

13. Holiday Lights at ZooTampa at Lowry Park

Event Dates:Selected Nights Nov 24 – Dec 30, 2023

Lights and activities start at 4 p.m. and the Zoo closes at 10 p.m.

Cost: Included with paid Zoo admission or Zoo membership.

 

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at ZooTampa with the return of Christmas in the Wild, featuring one of Tampa Bay’s largest light displays, delectable holiday treats, amazing wildlife and new festive adventures. 14. Raprager Family Farm for Winter Festival & Christmas Extravaganza

Let the kids experience cooler weather and get in the Christmas spirit on their 30-acre farm. Stroll through the Christmas lights and decor around the farm.
 
Day passes include animal experience, hayride, hay chute slide, play fort, corn pit, bounce pillow and gem mining (both new), and mini Christmas Village. Visit with Santa is also included (check our website for up to date Santa schedule). The farm is decorated to the hilt for the holidays! While you are here, support our local crafters or grab a yummy treat from a variety of great vendors.

15. Victorian Christmas Stroll at Henry Plant Museum

401 W Kennedy Blvd,Tampa, FL
Dates: The Victorian Christmas Stroll is open 10 am – 5 pm Monday – Thursday, and 10 am – 8 pm Friday – Sunday.
Cost: Admission is $18/adults, $16/seniors, and $12/youth.

Tampa’s favorite holiday tradition returns with the 47th Annual Victorian Christmas Stroll! Allowing visitors a glimpse into the magic of Christmas past, this holiday experience is a safe and family-friendly way to celebrate all the season has to offer.

They are pleased to welcome visitors every day through December 23. Visitors enjoy $2 reduced admission on December 4, 5, 11, and 12, and Museum Members enjoy FREE admission on those dates.
 
There will be complimentary cider and cookies on the veranda, and live music on weekend evenings from 6 pm to 7:45 pm.
 
As part of the experience this year, we are pleased to host an exclusive one-day Antique Evaluation event on December 7 and the 6th Annual Children’s Day at the Victorian Christmas Stroll on December 10. Details for both of these events can be found on our website.

16. Community Holiday Lights Walk-Thru

Hyde Park Village – South Tampa

Take a stroll down Hyde Park Village in South Tampa where you’ll delight in seeing the beautiful lights and trees along Snow Avenue. Santa is available on select days, explore the different shops and holiday markets, and take in some amazing food spots nearby.

17. Night of a Million Lights
