6. Visit the new St. Pete Pier & Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center:
The St. Pete Pier opened this week and the city has put in a reservation system at stpetepier.org, where visitors can pick a day and time they plan to visit. The pier has a fun playground area, splash pad for the kids and of course the beautiful sights of the water. While you’re there, be sure to stop by the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center to learn about Tampa Bay’s ecosystem. Throughout the facility you will find an aquarium, educational displays, photos of sea life and so much more.
Admission to the center is $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 12 and younger. The center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays. The Pier is at 800 Second Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. Face masks are required.
